Child Labor Undertakes not to employ workers under 18 years of age and to act in accordance with the procedures and principles of employing young workers for interns.
Prevention of Harassment, Mistreatment and Abuse: No employee shall be subjected to harassment, mistreatment and abuse. Every working individual has value and dignity. Every employee is expected to comply with these principles. In all our workplaces, human rights determined by international conventions, the constitution, laws and social moral values are respected. Business relations and practices are carried out around these values. No manager can exercise arbitrariness against his/her employees.
Freedom of Association: Our employees have the right to freedom of association, union membership and full independence in union activities, including collective bargaining.
Forced and involuntary labor: not to use forced labor under any form of coercion, including forced labor, involuntary labor, apprenticeship, bonded labor, military labor or slave labor. It also raises the awareness of its suppliers and external stakeholders about forced labor and continuously implements procedures to prevent forced labor for all parties.
Working Conditions: To comply with the applicable legal regulations and collective bargaining agreements in determining working hours, to comply with the principle of voluntary overtime, to make normal and overtime payments determined by laws and collective bargaining agreements, and to provide employees with social benefits determined in the collective bargaining agreement.
Health and Safety: We are committed to ensuring that all employees work in a healthy and safe environment. Provide a healthy and safe work environment that complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including reasonable access to potable water and sanitary facilities, reasonable access to appropriate and adequate safety measures and facilities, and reasonable access to appropriate and adequate lighting and ventilation.
Discrimination In our workplace, no one can be discriminated against because of their gender, race, age, origin, color, religious beliefs, etc.
Supplier Relations: We develop supplier relations based on mutual benefit with our suppliers that provide products or services, and ensure that the responsibility and awareness of our suppliers increase with us. We undertake to evaluate the social compliance of the suppliers we work with, to monitor the results of the evaluation with action plans and to gradually increase their social compliance levels.
Başaran Halı is committed to comply with applicable national legal regulations, the standards published by the International Labor Organization (ILO) referred to in the SA 8000 Standard, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, United Nations conventions, to inform its stakeholders and suppliers on social responsibility issues, and to continuously improve practices.
